Building a Brand From the Ground Up
One identity. Multiple markets. A brand built to travel.
A good brand needs more than a great logo. It needs an identity that makes sense wherever it goes.
When Varsity Campus set out to establish a new student housing brand, I had the opportunity to build its identity from the ground up. From developing the original name, The Letterman, to conducting market research and shaping its visual direction, the challenge was to create something recognizable, adaptable, and relevant to college students nationwide.
But the work didn't stop at naming and design. It included developing brand guidelines, marketing campaigns, and translating the identity into physical spaces and digital experiences.
The resulting brand identity was implemented across Varsity Campus properties throughout the country, maintaining a cohesive presence while allowing each location to connect with its local student community.
The result was more than a collection of logos and marketing materials. It was a unified brand identity designed to grow, evolve, and create a consistent experience across multiple properties, markets, and consumer touch points.
Because a brand shouldn't lose itself every time it changes its address.
