Ashlei Elise
THE PROFESSIONAL BRIEF
I’m Ashlei Elise, a Chief Marketing Officer, storyteller, and founder of BAE Studios.
For more than fifteen years, I’ve helped organizations grow through strategic marketing and sales, audience development, and brand leadership across both nonprofit and corporate sectors. Today, I serve as Chief Marketing Officer of the International African American Museum, leading brand strategy, communications, partnerships, and revenue-driving marketing initiatives.
My career has taken me across industries, from real estate and technology to professional sports and cultural institutions, but the thread connecting the work has remained consistent: understanding people, finding the story beneath the surface, and turning that understanding into strategy.
I believe the strongest brands are built much the same way the strongest relationships are: by paying attention to what matters to people. That belief has shaped how I build teams, grow audiences, develop brands, and create work that moves both people and organizations forward.

Rollcall
I've done some pretty cool ish with some pretty amazing people along the way.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
